French is the official language of the Academy. Translations into English, Dutch and Russian are provided for ease of understanding and may contain discrepancies.
Registration is valid for the entire academic year and is considered confirmed upon fulfillment of the following two conditions:
1.1 If, by July 15, the registration fee has not been paid and/or there is an outstanding balance from a previous period, and in the absence of an online registration, the student’s spot will be considered vacant and may be assigned to another candidate.
1.2 Registration can take place at any time during the academic year. In such cases, the subscription becomes effective from the date of enrollment.
1.3 A trial lesson may be arranged prior to official registration, at a fixed fee of €50, regardless of the lesson's duration.
1.3.1 The trial lesson must be paid in advance. Students without proof of payment will not be admitted.
1.3.2 The trial lesson may be rescheduled or refunded if the Academy is officially notified via email (rk.brussels@gmail.com) at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson.
1.4 By registering with the Academy, you automatically accept its rules and regulations.
3.1 Monthly subscription fees must be paid in advance, either before the first lesson of the current month or no later than the 5th of the current month.
Students with unpaid fees by the second lesson of the month will not be admitted.
3.2 Lessons do not take place during school holidays and are not included in the monthly fee.
3.3 In case of late payment, the parent will receive an automatic reminder. If a second reminder is required, a late fee of €20 will be added to the subscription. Lessons will be suspended until the balance is settled.
3.4 In the event of an outstanding balance, the Academy cannot guarantee that the student’s time slot will be retained and reserves the right to assign it to another student.
3.5 If lessons have been taken but not paid for, the Academy reserves the right to pursue legal action through the Justice of the Peace for debts up to €2,500, or through the Court of First Instance for debts exceeding €2,500. The Academy may also share information about you as a “non-reliable client” with partner arts organisations.
4.1 If you decide to stop attending lessons during the academic year, you must notify the Academy officially via email (rk.brussels@gmail.com) at least one month in advance.
4.2 The subscription will then be terminated effective from the 1st of the following month. Fees for the current month are non-refundable. Any outstanding payments must be settled before the termination (see point 3.5).
The Academy reserves the right to discontinue lessons for a student in the following cases:
5.1 Recurring late payments, up to a maximum of 3 times.
5.2 A maximum of 3 unnotified absences.
5.3 In case of a conflict between the student and the teacher, the Academy supports the teacher’s decision to discontinue lessons at any point during the year, without obligation to provide justification.
In such cases, the subscription will be terminated from the 1st of the following month. Fees for the current month will not be refunded.
6.1 In the event of tardiness, the lesson will not be extended or rescheduled.
6.2 Missed lessons are non-refundable and non-compensable, as the Academy provides access to lessons on a monthly subscription basis, which cannot be divided per lesson.
6.3 In case of strikes, demonstrations, or transport disruptions, lessons will continue as scheduled online and will not be cancelled or refunded.
To maintain cleanliness and order, students are required to arrive on time, with clean hands, and wearing indoor shoes.
8.1 Students with visible symptoms of contagious illnesses (flu, tonsillitis, chickenpox, lice, etc.) are not permitted to attend lessons in person. In such cases, lessons may be held online at the scheduled time, without the option to reschedule or refund.
8.2 If an online lesson is not feasible, and a valid medical certificate is provided covering the relevant period, the lesson may be rescheduled upon agreement with the teacher, subject to their availability.
8.3 In case of the teacher’s illness, the missed lesson will either be conducted online or rescheduled.
In case of an epidemic, lessons will not be suspended but will be delivered online according to the regular timetable.
10.1 In accordance with applicable laws, you are hereby informed that photo, video, and audio recordings of students may be made during the academic year and during concerts. These may be used for promotional purposes, including publication on the Academy’s website and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
If you wish to opt out, please send an official written request to rk.brussels@gmail.com by September 30 of the academic year.
10.2 Students who do not consent to being recorded will not be allowed to participate in concerts, as the Academy cannot guarantee removal or editing of their images.
11.1 Students of the Academy may participate in concerts organised during or at the end of the academic year.
11.2 Registration and payment for concert participation must be completed at least one month prior to the scheduled date.
11.3 Audience members must also reserve their tickets at least one month in advance, as seating may be limited depending on the venue.
11.4 Students who have not paid their fees or have not registered by the deadline will not be permitted to perform.
11.5 In the event of a cancellation by the student or spectator, no refunds will be issued.
The Academy reserves the right to amend these rules at any point during the academic year to improve pedagogical operations. Students and parents will be informed of any changes within 15 days. In case of disagreement, you may terminate your subscription within 30 days of receiving the notification. The subscription will end on the 1st of the following month. No refunds will be issued for the current month.
